Anna Christina Lorenzen, billedkunstner.

engelsk versjon:

In general her work encompasses drawing, painting, printmaking, textiles and performance.

It is exploring the intersections of the static and the volatile, the defined and the diffuse, nature and culture, the collective idea and the subjective experience, the historical and the contemporary.

Centered around figurative imagery Lorenzen`s  work is exploring how body language is used to signify status, gender, ethnic/cultural and historical identity.

Since graduating in 2008 she has been selected to participate in international residency programs in Kenya, South Africa, india, USA and Barbados. These travels have given Lorenzen the opportunity to experience ‘europeanness’ from the outside and has made me aware of the physical, political and cultural traces the european continent has left on so many parts of the world.
